Prime Global Retail

Market Update - London

"London stores have re-opened their doors and this certainly has provided a much needed lift to mood and sentiment in the capital.

The reality is that the market will take some time to recover from the pandemic given the main catalyst for improvement being centered around international travel.

The ultra-prime locations of Oxford and Regent street that capture the mass market brands though are starting to attract interest again from brands looking to open stores in the latter part of 2021/early 2022.

Mango, Bally, Hugo Boss and Claude Pierlot have all recently signed new stores.

London’s luxury thoroughfare Bond Street will see Balenciaga and Celine open during the course of 2021 and over the coming months we consider more brands will commit to new stores as the luxury sector continues to grow from strength to strength globally."
