Savills wins Global Real Estate Adviser at EG awards 2020

Savills has won Global Real Estate Adviser of the Year at the EG awards 2020 held as a virtual event last night (29 October 2020). David Williams, Executive Director, Savills, collected the award on behalf of the company.

The EG awards, which were attended by over 500 property professionals, saw Savills beat shortlisted Knight Frank and Altus Group and win the accolade for the second time in three years. Savills was the headline partner at the event and sponsored the UK Company of the Year award, which was won by SEGRO.

Mark Ridley, Group CEO of Savills plc, comments: “We are delighted to win the Global Real Estate Adviser award and to receive such important industry recognition. We have a connected platform that puts clients first, we have won significant market share around the world and are dedicated to servicing our clients to the highest level across the group.”

According to one of the judges: “Savills posted very impressive results with a single focus on performance, connecting teams very effectively.”

The judges also commented that in 2019, against a backdrop of political uncertainty in some markets, Savills used its fully-integrated global network to continue to thrive: strengthening the group’s presence in key markets, including India, and increasing market share across regions and sectors such as its UK residential teams achieving a 30% market share on transactions above £5m.

In Asia Pacific, despite slowing economic growth and trade friction, Savills has remained the number one investment advisory team for over a decade in Hong Kong and South Korea. As one of the largest property managers globally, Savills is using the experience gained across Asia Pacific to advise clients worldwide on how to protect occupiers from the impact of Covid-19, including the use of technology. Its property management and facilities teams, who manage 350m+ sq ft globally, reacted quickly and worked tirelessly through the stages of lockdown to protect and manage clients’ assets, as well as the safety of local communities.
